Ergonomic Adjustment of Chair, Monitor, and Desk:
Poor posture not only affects your health but also your work efficiency. Optimizing the ergonomics of your workspace can minimize the risk of strain and injury:
Chair:
Select an office chair that supports the natural curve of your spine. Your feet should be flat on the floor, and your knees should be at a 90-degree angle. If your chair is not providing adequate lumbar support, consider using a cushion or rolled-up towel to fill the gap between your lower back and the chair.
Monitor:
Position your monitor so the top of the screen is at or slightly below eye level. The screen should be about an arm's length away to reduce the strain on your eyes. If you wear bifocals or glasses, you may need to adjust the monitor's height and distance to find the most comfortable setting.
Desk:
Your desk should allow for a comfortable setup with your keyboard and mouse placed in such a way that your wrists are in a neutral position and your elbows are at your sides, forming a 90-degree angle. If your desk is too high and cannot be adjusted, consider raising your chair and using a footrest to maintain proper posture.
